A National leading materials handling company is looking for a diesel mechanic to join their team in the George Area. (Western Cape)

Job requirements:

Applicant must be a South African Citizen
Grade 12 or N3 Qualification.
Relevant Trade Certificate: Olifantsfontein Trade Test.
Valid Driver’s license: Code 08.
Medically fit: Red Card or fit enough to obtain.
3 years relevant experience after certification.
Troubleshooting, and implementation / installation of the repair / replacement on the following systems:
- Hydraulics – Hydrostatic pumps, orbital pumps, valves, spools etc.
- Diesel Engines – Cylinder heads, valves, pumps, injectors.
- Transmission & Differentials – Final drives, crown wheel & pinions, selectors etc.
- Electrical – Valve solenoids, instrumental wiring, lighting etc.

Preference will be given to candidates who have in-depth experience with the following technologies:
- Doosan Front-end Loaders.
- BELL Loggers.
- CAT Excavators.
- ZF Transmissions and Final drives.
- Deutz Engines.
- Vickers TA1919 Pumps.
- CAT C9 Engines.
- Volvo Truck Tractors.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Be willing to work after hours.
Be able to discuss and resolve work related problems with colleagues.
Work independently and be able to function under pressure.
Be an initiative worker and team player.
Ability to act as team leader during maintenance and special projects.
Prioritize tasks.
Willing to travel.
Most importantly must have sober habits.
Salary Market Related based on experience.
