What Youll Do
An Internship with Utilimaster
Utilimaster, A Shyft Group Brand, is offering a 10-week paid internship program for college students. Positions are currently available in our locations in Bristol, IN; Charlotte, MI; Kansas City, KS; and Landisville, PA.
The Shyft Group was acknowledged as one of Fortunes Fastest Growing Companies in 2021. We have nine go to market brands focused on specialty vehicles. From utility vans to refrigerated trucks, step vans to food trucks, Utilimaster vehicles and upfits are custom crafted to help meet the specific business objectives of our customers using a proprietary Work Driven Design process backed by more than 50 years of experience.
We are seeking candidates who have the initiative and self-motivation to make a significant impact on the job supported by strong relevant skills and knowledge. They need to have the ability to identify and solve problems as well as the adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to handle new situations with ease.

Candidates hired at Utilimaster will:
- Gain practical experience in applying their knowledge and skills to real-worldscenarios.
- Mentors provide feedback, answer questions, offer advice, and help interns navigate their roles and the organization.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, or group projects, allowing them to develop teamwork and communication skills.
- Interns will attend networking events, team outings, or virtual meetings to build relationships and expand their professional connections.
- Companies will offer workshops, seminars, or lunch-and-learn sessions to interns to enhance their knowledge and broaden their skill sets. These opportunities can cover a range of topics, from industry trends to career development strategies.
- Performance evaluation: Interns typically go through periodic performance evaluations to assess their progress and provide feedback on their performance. This feedback can help interns identify areas for improvement and build upon their strengths.
