3rd Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3 rd Engineer responsible for the safety, navigation, cleanliness and operation of a trawler and the total complement on board and who directs fishing operations of the vessel.

Experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 Years experience sailing as a 3 rd Engineer on Fishing Vessels

Qualifications

• Motorman Grade 2 or Officer in charge of Engineering Watch 750kw

Courses Completed

• Annual Medical
• Advance Fire Fighting
• PSSR
• CISC
• Marine Fire Fighting
• Marine First Aid

Job Specification

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Watch Keeping Duties
• Assist Chief Engineer and 2 nd Engineer in charge of safe running, maintenance and repair of all machinery on the vessel.
• Assistance in Maintenance& servicing of machinery includes:
• Main engine
• Auxiliary engine
• Deck hydraulic winches
• Factory hydraulics
• Freon domestic and Refer plant
• Piano Heading Machine
• Assist with general housekeeping of all engine compartments.
• Minor electrical repairs and maintenance
• Assist with admin work e.g. log sheets, running hours, work lists.
• Assist in Supervising of Greasers (x2)
