Air Experts are responsible for quoting and booking of all client flights. The Air Experts act as internal service providers and play a crucial role in helping the Operations Team to deliver seamless holidays whilst achieving profit and sales targets.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Sales and service delivery
- Service air quote requests on a daily basis by quoting the most competitive fare / routing from Amadeus
- Subscribe to and read relevant publications and literature to keep knowledge up to date with changes to the domestic and international travel market.
- Maintain awareness of supplier / airline developments and take action to keep the team and business updated and competitive to ultimately increase air sales. This includes staying abreast of ever-changing Airline cancellation and deferral policies.
- Cascade developments and share all knowledge or Airline related subjects to team members to provide factual information to clients.
- Analyse changes, developments, improvements, declines, in all Air
- Build and maintain relationships with external and internal suppliers in order to effectively identify opportunities for improvement and obtain solutions that meet the teams needs.
- Be available as required to provide help and assistance (on an ad-hoc basis) by the 24-hour emergency cell phone operator in order to ensure immediate help and support for clients.

- Work as part of a team to deliver effective results, great customer service and to realize an increase in team profitability
- Share knowledge and interact where appropriate with colleagues to assist them in achieving a sale.
- Carry out daily/weekly/monthly tasks as requested by the Team Leader
- Complete constant queue checks and download fares and fees from applicable sources and websites throughout the day to ensure smooth operation and progress update of flight booking status.
- Participate in the daily, periodical, and annual production of statistical information that identifies the profit and loss of the Air team.

- Ensure that all development educational and training activities achieve a return on investment by achieving agreed objectives
- Participate in all team meetings and targeted training sessions and attend off site training as and when required or requested.
- Take part in the company educational programme following the correct policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain an excellent knowledge of both the destinations and markets that you sell and recommend through achievement of your personal development plan
- Share knowledge learnt through educationals, trainings etc. with colleagues and customers to assist with closing the sale.

- Minimum of 2 years selling air travel for African and International routes (regional and international experience)
