Optimise the profit and economic value of portfolios of Small Business key account clients requiring low to medium complexity commercial banking requirements by focusing: a) origination efforts to quire new clients; b) cross-sell to existing client base; c) coverage efforts to service clients in accordance to the segment CVP
Job Description
- At least 4 years as a business banking Relationship Manager with a demonstrated history of consistent year on year high sales performance managing a portfolio of over 150 client, as per annual performance ratings, in a banking environment contactable references must be supplied
- Must have at least 5 years experience in a client facing, target driven financial services role, preferably banking contactable references must be supplied
- Must be able to interact with different internal stakeholders and various business clients across sectors
- Must have a learning mindset, be highly energetic and possess an ability to work under pressure and independently
- Must be highly resilient and resourceful and be deadline driven
- Must be able to take accountability for own development and performance
- Must clearly understand how to optimise the profit and economic value of a portfolio of SME clients requiring commercial banking requirements by focusing: a) origination efforts to acquire new clients; b) cross-sell to existing client base; c) stakeholder efforts to service clients in accordance to the SME segment CVP
- Must have impeccable client relationship management ethos and ensure that they are the clients main contact point for all business banking needs.
- Must be comfortable taking overall accountability for and setting the minimum service delivery standard by setting the rules of engagement for the cross functional team, which includes enterprise banker, sales support consultant, credit, Product & Sector stakeholders.
- Must take full ownership of the portfolio's risk management by ensuring a good understanding of both the Bank's and the clients regulatory and compliance environments including but not limited to FICA, NCA and related credit risk aspects
- Must posses a thorough understanding of credit processes in a banking environment and be highly proficient in working with company financials and being able to make credit risk recommendations
- Must be a people person and skilled communicator (verbally and in writing) and negotiator
- It is ideal that the candidate is naturally inquisitive with a heightened level of personal mastery
- Must have a minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent in business science, economics or related fields, preferably with an accompanying Honours
