Job Description
Absas CIB technology team provides technology support to the organizations Corporate and Investment Banking sector. This IT Services team is specifically dedicated to our Markets business area and is responsible for the support, enhancement and maintenance of all Trade and Post Trade vendor and bespoke application suites that fall within the Markets business area.
What youll get to do:
- Point of contact for all trade desk related technology support maintenance issues around all trading and post trading applications
- Analyze problems quickly in a fast paced and deadline driven environment and determine course of action to correct.
- Ensuring minimal impact to business during upgrade or maintenance activities
- Develop and maintain expertise in application functionality and related business processes and workflows
- Engage with stakeholders and provide support to application users
- 3 years experience in an Application Support role
- Experience with Linux and Windows Administration is Essential
- Experience within Trading and post trading applications is essential
- Experience with supporting trading in different asset classes (Fixed income, equities, derivatives) is essential
- Strong SQL experience (Stored Procs, queries, etc.)
- Experience interacting with front office and operations (back office) stakeholders will be advantageous.
- Python or coding advantageous
- ITIL certification advantageous
- AWS certification advantageous
- Willingness to work standby or overtime as required
Education
Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
