Accounts Payable Controller

Purpose Of The Job

• This role is responsible for the overall functioning of all responsibilities regarding the accounts payable cycle within the Company.
• This role also assists in providing effective stewardship of Trans Africa Projects financial resources, assisting in assessing and implementing all the appropriate controls needed to ensure effective and efficient accounts payable methods, practices, and procedures by the company.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

• Verification, Query Resolution, Processing and Payments, Vendor, Employee Reconciliation and Reporting, Vendor Payments , Data and Compliance Management .
• Stakeholder management.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric with relevant tertiary qualifications with 3 to 5 years experience as an Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant, in a supervisory position.

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles (to balance sheet)
• Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Agresso/ZOHO system exp. (preferable).
