Account Executive

The ideal candidate will have experience with selling B2B solutions to wholesalers, manufacturers and/ or distributors, be organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on enhancing the buyer experience. In this role, while you will be provided with some pre-qualified leads from our marketing funnel, you are also expected to supplement your pipeline with your own sourced leads and the ultimate responsibility for your leads lies with you. Networking, attending expos and working the market are some of the initiatives you could expect in order to constantly source new right-fit leads.

Responsibilities:
  • Unearthing new sales opportunities and leads through networking and cold calling
  • Effectively engage with new prospects and win deals by using a consultative, business value orientated approach that resonates with decision makers
  • Seek first to understand, ask probing questions and look for areas where our client can add and create value for the prospect
  • Design detailed plans outlining intentions on how to reach own predetermined goals and quotas
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data
  • As part of the AE team, collaborate and partner with our client's SDR and Marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and plans
  • Update and maintain prospect information and sales activities on company's choice of CRM systems
Requirements
  • 4+ years of sales experience (experience in software or technology an advantage)
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • Experience in selling to wholesalers, manufacturers and/ or wholesalers
  • Good listener who is able to partner with clients to understand challenges and present solutions
  • Experience in presenting solutions to clients and articulating value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with sales technology tools including CRM (Salesforce.com is advantageous), sales engagement platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Good business acumen
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Coachable
