B2B Safari Specialist: Account Manager - Leisure Travel

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Key Account Manager: Product/Business Developer with a strong background in sales and product development. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Southern and East Africa and will manage agents and their requests, taking a proactive approach to development-driven tasks beyond typical sales consulting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and product development initiatives for travel products.
  • Manage relationships with agents, handling their requests and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Develop and enhance travel products, ensuring they meet market demands and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the Southern and East African markets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to agents and clients.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and product development progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications And Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Southern and East Africa.
  • Strong sales and product development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong drive for results.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Safari industry.
  • Proven experience working with agents and managing their requests.
  • Experience in DMC Travel is preferred.
