Job Title: Accountant

Location: Cape Town

Our fast-growing company is looking for an independent and experienced Accountant Manager to become a valuable part of our vibrant team at Crypto Banter. We operate in a lean environment and we are therefore looking for one candidate that can capture and manage the entire financial function of the company. The selected candidate must be an independent hard worker, be meticulous about attention and be willing to get their hands dirty.

Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Accounts Payable And Receivable

• Process invoices and ensure timely payment of bills.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

Bank Reconciliation

• Reconcile bank statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies.

Financial Reporting

• Generate and analyze financial statements regularly.
• Prepare financial reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics.

Budgeting And Forecasting

• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
• Provide support in financial forecasting activities.

Tax Compliance

• Ensure compliance with South African tax regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with tax authorities.

Audit Support

• Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
• Maintain organized and complete financial records for audit purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5 years + experience as an Accountant.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (i.e. Xero).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
