Ideally, you're a junior accountant with 1-2 years' experience or recently complete SAIPA articles.
What you'll do
- Managing basket of clients
- Daily bookkeeping for each client- spend a few minutes a day processing any documents received
- Weekly communications with client and daily communications with team. Ad hoc communications with external suppliers such as SARS, banks, etc.
- Monthly reports to be prepared for each client
- Monthly Payroll communications, preparations and submissions
- Bi monthly VAT communications and preparations
- Annual CIPC return submissions
- Maintaining clients Xero account and ensuring accuracy and completeness of the information therein
- Drafting Annual Financial Statements
- Calculating Income Tax and submitting Tax Return
- Other jobs and responsibilities as requested from time to time by the CEO and Practice Manager
- Accounting diploma/degree
- A qualified professional accountant (SAIPA or similar) or bookkeeper
- 1-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role and/or in an accounting practice
- Good communication and interactive skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Xero, Simplepay, Draftworx experience a plus
