About Discovery Health Finance
The Health Finance team is responsible for all the pertinent financial aspects across the financial cycles for DH. It includes financial budgeting, forecasting, and accounting applications for the financial transactions within the Health Space.
About The Financial And Cost Management Reporting Team
The team comprises of two components that operate co-dependently to fulfil all the finance reporting requirements for Discovery Health SA as well as the cost management reporting for the segment.
Key purpose
To calculate and process journals and reconcile balance sheet accounts. To conduct other adhoc financial reporting analysis and related tasks.
Key Outputs
- To calculate and process journals to record all entries in the GL
- To reconcile B/S accounts to ensure completeness validity and accuracy of Management Accounts
- To complete tax schedules timeously for submission to Group Tax in Discovery Central Services
- To create intercompany invoices to accurately record group transactions
- To provide finance support to the Cost Centre Managers and Professional Assistants throughout Discovery Health

- Bcom Honors qualification
- Minimum 1 2 years working experience in Finance
- Good understanding of accounting principles and application thereof
