- Responsible for intercompany trading activities of BT EM
- Work with the FPA team in region to develop effective reporting and financial analysis in line with best practice.
- Ensure compliance of BTGS Finance Polices, IAS and respective accounting standards of local markets
- Support automation within the business, rollout and implementation of ERP system in the region.
- Initiate monthly Finance review with FPA, Tax and country finance manager to review actual results, balance sheet, Working capital and pending audit, statutory filing, internal control, indirect and direct tax matters and ad hoc projects.
- Support cash and working capital forecasting
- Provide professional financial support services to the non-Finance community on Country specific Finance and trading regulations ( CEC, Licensing, tax , other as applicable)
- Implement changes to discrete Group / CFU / CU processes & policies
- Steward, lead and partner with the business, to ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with, and in the spirit of, local legislative requirements, and enhance and protect BT for now and the future
- Execute Group / CFU / CU transformation activities to implement changes in line with the Finance Transformation strategy
- Lead preparation of key report to contribute to full Group / CFU / CU reporting
- Execute Group / CFU / CU / unit accounting and financial control activities
- Financial controls, compliance and risk - You partner with related teams to provide audit and control testing for the business. You assess results and recommend adjustments to strengthen our compliance against standards and minimise risks.
- Finance processes and systems - You anticipate and recognise obstacles in work processes between teams and make suggestions for ongoing productivity improvements. You facilitate collaboration and improvements between teams.
- Accounting principles - You apply accounting principles (and where relevant financial statements), procedures and systems in complex and unique scenarios. You demonstrate expertise in one or more functional areas and review your teams work to make sure it is complete and accurate.
- Management reporting - You develop best practices in reporting. You make sure that your inputs are consistent and streamlined so that your reports will be too. You tailor reports to appropriate audiences and ask for regular feedback to improve your reports.
- Statutory and external financial reporting - You keep your knowledge up to date on emerging trends and changes in financial reporting principles and practices. You analyse and summarise financial data into concise financial reports to comply with standards and procedures.
