- Proficiency in income tax relating to trusts, companies and individuals.
- Proficiency in e-filing.
- Proficiency in caseware.
- Proficiency in MS Office with good working knowledge of spreadsheets and Pastel.
- Any other bookkeeping applications experience would be advantageous.
- Greatsoft tax administration experience would be advantageous.
- Recognised B.Comm Accounting / Financial qualification.
- Membership of Professional Body (e.g. SAIPA) would be advantageous.
- 3 years’ experience in an accounting / auditing firm.
Job responsibilities:
- To assist with the management of the accounting/tax department.
- Gather client information.
- Process and reconcile annual transactions from source documents.
- VAT calculations and submissions;
- Prepare working paper files.
- Compile financial statements for individuals, trusts, close corporations and companies.
- Prepare tax computations for individuals, trusts, close corporations and companies.
- Resolve review queries from manager/partner and do final entries as per partner’s finalisation.
- Assist with the administration of the tax function.
- Working to budget and control of targets to ensure monthly targets are met.
- Liaising and dealing with Clients, Supervisors and Partners on their expectations and requirements.
- Training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching SAIPA trainees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
