What will you do?
- Account Opening and Maintenance
- Assist with opening and maintenance of client accounts on internal back-office systems.
- Collect and collate documents required for opening of company accounts on vendor / distribution platforms as required.
- Liaising with external distribution platforms on account opening status and queries where needed.
- Reviewing account opening documents for FICA and/or KYC requirements and other requirements in adherence to company policies.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders on queries related to account opening.
- KYC / Due Diligence Requests
- Compile and submit KYC refresh document packs for internal entities to external distribution platforms.
- Maintain documents library of KYC documents for internal entities.
- Respond to due diligence requests, queries and requests for KYC requirements for internal entities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to collect and collate documents required to respond to due diligence and KYC requirements for internal entities.
- Static Data Maintenance
- Updating client records for new information and/or changes in circumstances
- Assist with extracting / reporting on client static data and periodic reviews of static account data.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders on queries related to client and account static data.
- Action data clean-up requests
- Participate in improvement initiatives and projects in the team, business unit and company-wide as required.
- Update and maintain process documentation (eg. standard operating procedures, checklists) for account opening and static data maintenance functions.
- Suggest and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency in static data maintenance and account opening function.
- Assist and train other team members when required.
- B Com Finance or Economics
- 2-4 years relevant experience in financial services industry
- Financial services / stockbroking experience required, especially of the private client business environment;
- Knowledge of KYC and AML legislation and regulations applicable to onboarding new clients and entities.
