I’m looking for an accredited handyman training facilitator urgently. The person must have building and construction, plumbing, welding, carpentry, electrical, boiler maker and sheet metal and floor tiling skills. The person will do both practical and theory. If not skilled in all at least he must have basic plumbing, welding, bricklaying, electrical, carpentry, floor tiling skills. The outcomes of the course are to equip members with the necessary skills and knowledge in how to effectively apply theories and principles.
The modules will be linked to available (SAQA) or CHE standards. The course will include the following fields
- General safety principles
- Inspection basics
- Basic tool and material use, care and handling
- Basic maintenance skills
- Basic electrical maintenance
- Basic welding skills
- Basic plumbing skills
- Basic bricklaying and plastering skills
- Basic carpentry and joinery skills
The facilitator will give an exam at the end of the program. The exam must include both practical and theory. The attendees will get a certificate of competence. The qualification must be an NQF level of not less than 4.
