THE ROLE
The position for a Junior and/or Senior Actuarial Analyst became available at our Centurion office as a result of a continuously increasing demand for our services and exciting future growth opportunities for the business. We offer a market-related study policy and our remuneration package will be based on your exam progress.
The main purpose of this position is to provide support to the senior actuaries and senior actuarial analysts responsible for credit risk reporting and audit support work (IFRS9). The role would include:
Credit quantitative analysis (IFRS 9 and Credit loss models) and reporting, as well as assistance to auditors.
Development of actuarial models (using Excel / SAS / R) for use in external audit and advisory capacities.
Exposure to other areas of the consulting firm (IAS19, insurance models, damages, pension valuations etc.) will be possible (and may be required in certain circumstances).

THE REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelors or honours degree in Actuarial Science;
2. Good progress with the ASSA A-series exams;
3. At least 1-2 years experience in credit models and reporting (Senior Actuarial Analyst)
4. Excellent communication skills (English);
5. Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge;
6. Experience in SAS / R would be an advantage;
7. Ability to work within a team environment.
