Job Purpose
To provide oversight and manage performance of the existing Credit Life portfolio that includes the full range ofproducts. To Develop and monitor and report on our suite of products in this space. To assist with new productconcepts that will be developed in collaboration with Distribution and Client Experience as well as otherstakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Help produce monthly reporting packs for DIVCO and INEXCO.
- Assist with producing quarterly reporting packs for various Committee and governance bodies withing the business as required.
- Assist with compiling product reviews / deep dives on concerns that may be highlighted by the product dashboards and presented to the business.
- Produce product closure papers for the HAF as and when required.
- Engage with key stakeholders such as Retail and build sound relationships.
- Engage with Distribution, Client Experience and Operations to streamline processes and ensure all areas are working effectively in maximising the client value while ensuring product profitability to make the portfolio commercially viable.
- Engage with the system developers to ensure any system changes and additions identified are implemented.
- Assist with product pricing in Excel, Prophet and other tools.
- Review and update product registers, pricing policies, underwriting manuals, policy documentation, market material and other product collateral as required by regulation or business from time to time.
- Review the expense assumptions that have been included in the reserving assumptions by Corporate Actuarial that impact the product profitability.
- Monitor and review lapse experience within the portfolio to ensure better persistency.
- Assist with product development, market research and data analytics as required.
Essential Qualification - NQF Level
Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and studying towards qualifying as an Actuary and currently at least 4-6 exams.
Minimum Experience Level
2 - 4 years' experience in an Actuarial Field within the Insurance environment.
Solid exposure within a Product role within Life Assurance in the Actuarial profession and some exposure to Corporate Actuarial will be a bonus.
Must have completed 4 - 6 exams.
