Overview of the Program

You will be based at our HQ in Cape Town, South Africa, and you will embark on a New Manager certified course, in partnership with the Graduate School of Business, whilst working at the best sports company in the world. You will have a mentor, a line manager and HR to support you.

You will fulfil a fulltime role within the selected department based on your skills and experience, where you will make an impact on the business and your performance will be measured accordingly. You will also be assigned a group project which allows individuals to demonstrate their teamwork and innovative thinking skills.

Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organisation

Form part of the West Africa Sales Team for the adidas Africa Export Team, reporting into our West Africa Senior Manager Lead.

This role needs to ensure that they support the Sales Team to continue to grow our customers business in a sustainable way whilst driving our NS and KPI targets.

Work closely with Team Lead to make sure accounts are managed in the correct way, and we are driving business growth. Communicate with partners and guide them to shape the direction of their businesses, tracking key KPIs and communicating performance to key stakeholders within the organization.

Africa Export Management Trainee Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute the sales strategy for key partners across the Africa Export business
  • Guide partners to ensure all key KPIs are met, and targets are aligned with the EM South Africa Export digital growth plans
  • Manage all sell-thru data and communicate the key data
  • Analysis of post-campaign reports and feedback to relevant parties
  • Ensure close alignment with EM South and role players in Dubai
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in the Digital & Franchise industry, sharing key trends with key team members
  • Provide quarterly competitive reviews per channels in key markets
  • Focus on Block Buster moments tied into approved Brand Calendar, driving Awareness and Full Price Sell Through
  • Creation of commercial campaigns for key partners across the markets in line with slow movers, key concepts, new arrivals in order to drive sell through across Customer channels
  • Implementation of CRM campaigns in line with the key partners growth strategies
  • Drive acquisition to the adidas CRM database through our key partners

  • Execution excellence across all key partner platforms ensuring full price sell thru
  • Track all key partner targets across targeted channels.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Strategic mindset and vision for growth

  • Working cross-functionally in a diverse team
  • Good understanding of the Consumer Campaign Process from brief through to execution
  • Ability to build strong relationships (agency management)
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
  • Data analytics experience
Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
  • University degree preferably in Marketing or relevant qualification
  • Sales experience overseeing key customer relationships
  • Digital experience (Ecom, Social Media, and CRM)
