To deal with all accounts up to Trial Balance and to assist with agency Managing Director with a variety of clerical/ administrative tasks in order to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the agency business.
Key tasks and responsibilities (specifically in relation to bookkeeping)·
- Manage all aspects of the agency’s accounts up to Trial Balance
- Produce monthly trial balance, profit and loss, and cost centre reports as required·
- Submit monthly PAYE and bi-quarterly VAT returns·
- Manage all financial transactions including payments, invoicing, petty cash and setting up credit·
- Work closely with and liaise with the offsite Accountant and the bank as necessary·
- Deal with financial paperwork and filing as needed
- Manage workflow/ traffic in the agency, using Chase to assist with such, ensuring that work deadlines are met and work is completed correctly·
- Assist the agency MD with upholding a positive, vibrant and responsive team culture in the day-to-day running of the office, assisting him with managing HR matters as and when they arise·
- Answer incoming calls and assume basic receptionist duties when needed, handling daily enquiries, record keeping and responding as required·
- Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment and operating stock levels
Salary Range: R7000- R9000 per month plus benefits
