South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC) in Burea is looking for an administrative clerk for a 4 month contract post: 3 July 2017 - 31 October 2017.
Job responsibilities:
- Case management duties IRO dispute resolution functions, including screening and capturing of conciliation and arbitration referrals, maintaining electronic dispute tracking system and scheduling hearings.
- Committee administrative support service pertaining to meetings, including sending notices, preparing agendas, logistical arrangements and minute taking.
- Financial duties including preparation and issuing of purchase orders, processing of claims for payment, controlling petty cash, reconciling income and expenditure and producing reports.
- General reception and office duties including typing, photocopying, faxing and filing.
Job requirements:
- An acceptable level of secondary education, preferably matric.
- Computer literacy (advanced level of proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel).
- Code B driving licence.
- Own vehicle.
- Relevant office administration experience.
- Preference will be given to persons with previous experience in a labour relations environment, specifically dispute handling, case management and committee work in the LG sector or CCMA/Bargaining Council and persons with disabilities. Shortlisted applicants will undergo a competency test before further short listing.
