ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: FACULTY (GRADE 12)
DEANS OFFICE
FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES
To provide administrative support to the Faculty Office in respect of all Faculty administrative processes, in order to ensure alignment and compliance with central administrative systems and procedures; and to provide a professional support service to academics, students and staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas:
- Academic Administration
- Marks Administration
- Enquiry Management
- Committee Administration
- Financial Administration
- Human Resources
- Marketing and Recruitment
- Events Management
- Meeting Administration
- Reports
- General Administration
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum of 3 years administrative experience, preferably in academic administration.
- An accredited post-matric qualification
- Administrative experience in a Higher Education environment is preferred
- Proficiency in computer programmes/software packages e.g. Word; Excel / MS Office Suites / PowerPoint
Required Competencies
- Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills to engage with academics, students and service providers.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, and to adhere to and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work without supervision and to pay attention to detail.
