Africa Marketing Head

Requirements

A well-established supplier of domestic animal feed is seeking a dynamic marketing professional to craft and execute an international marketing strategy with the aim to drive global marketing success, especially within Africa, in line with company objectives. Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Must have a tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 7 years marketing experience with 3 years in a management capacity will be required
  • Sales or marketing experience within African countries is highly advantageous
  • Exposure to and knowledge of the domestic animal feed industry, with an understanding of the FMCG distribution channel would be ideal for this role
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong team management capabilities will be required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able and willing to travel extensively into Africa
The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
  • Orchestrating, evaluating, and fine-tuning consumer marketing efforts to align with operational objectives.
  • Providing support to the International Sales Team, Distributors, and other stakeholders in implementing campaigns and market entry strategies.
  • Developing, overseeing, and maintaining all international marketing-related tools.
  • Investigating diverse campaign channels for region-specific consumer marketing ventures.
  • Offering guidance on best practices and innovative initiatives for execution.
  • Supervising the creation of creative assets for local Distributors.
  • Cultivating and nurturing Business to Business relationships, while capitalizing on opportunities at international events and in the media.
  • Establishing the company's value proposition within the international domestic animal feed industry, particularly in Africa.
  • Devising a marketing strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and tailoring it for individual countries.
  • Communicating operational plans and securing buy-in from Distributors.
  • Handling, reporting, and making budgetary recommendations for travel expenses and subsistence allowances.
  • Overseeing the tasks, performance, and training of direct team members.
  • Mentoring and training team members to foster growth and promote a cohesive work environment.
