Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a separate legal entity based in South Africa and was formed between Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe and to establish a competency centre that can compete with other delivery centres in India and beyond. While incorporated in South Africa, the goal is to recruit and develop Talent throughout Sub-Saharan Africa to service the diverse needs to enable projects at our clients. Talent employed will have the full experience of Deloitte while getting both local and international exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa. What impact will you make?
You will join Deloitte Denmark Risk Advisory, working remotely from South Africa, as a member of our Process Bionics team. We help clients transform the ways in which they leverage people, technology, processes and controls to address their financial and operational risks and drive performance within their business operations. As a Senior Consultant your passion lies in leveraging technology to arrive at key and actionable insights regarding risks. Process Bionics analyses key business processes at our clients, both through workshops and data, leveraging Deloittes broad expertise to benchmark against industry standards and identify inefficiencies, compliance issues, risk exposure and missing controls.
- Analysing business processes to identify potential risks or bottlenecks in the financial and operational processes. Providing advisory for optimisation purposes often through deployment of automation and other modern technologies.
- Providing deep insights into existing and emerging risks in different processes and organisations through analytics and deployment of modern technologies.
- Performing comprehensive system and business reviews to provide our clients with practical recommendations to enhance governance, quality and execution.
- Supporting our clients with data-driven decision-making to identify areas for improvement and optimisation and provide related recommendations towards executive management and boards.
- Implementation of risk or controls assessment tools with a foundation in data-driven methods.
Job Description
How you will make an Impact
You will be part of a team performing process mining for our clients to give them full transparency into their processes. In this role you will work in the intersection between business and IT, translating business requirements, process definitions and technical specifications into a process mining solution giving the client full transparency into their process execution. You will get the opportunity to work with data for key processes from large corporations within areas such as finance and supply chain, in a diverse team where you can increase your own skills and responsibilities fast. Furthermore, you will find areas of improvement for the client, in collaboration with the Deloitte industry and process experts, and execute on these opportunities to bring value to the client.
What We Expect From You In This Role
Your primary focus in your assignments will involve the implementation of process mining using Celonis, the leading provider of process mining software. You will undertake the following tasks:
- Tracing business objects, e.g., sales orders, in transactional data from the clients source systems and mapping process steps onto these, e.g., blocking of a sales order.
- Establishing robust data models that accurately represent the process along with associated dimensions, facilitating the creation of dynamic dashboards.
- Arriving at actionable insights and leveraging the automation capabilities of Celonis to configure intelligent automations and enabling intelligent decision-making in Celonis.
Minimum Qualification
A completed university degree in data or computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics, information technology, or similar with a focus on technology, economics, accounting, finance and/or information management
Experience & Skills
- Relevant experience working with data platforms within data science, business intelligence or similar. Previous experience of working with Celonis is a plus.
- Experience working with SQL and ETL tools and a fundamental understanding of data structures.
- You enjoy learning modern technologies and are fast at acquiring new skillsets.
- You are solution oriented and when faced with challenges you excel in finding a way through or around them.
- You have the ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
- You possess a high-level understanding of IT infrastructure and how it impacts data extractions.
- You have a proactive approach and take action when you identify a problem.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
