General Manager – Project Finance – Cape Town

Description

Were looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee the full scope of our clients asset management reporting lifecycle. This includes additionally requires management of any and all active investments, with a focus on strategic risk mitigation and higher ROIs.

Our client, an innovative investment firm, is looking for an individual with an embedded understanding of financial reporting and renewable energy assets in the private equity sector.

As our ideal candidate, you have 7+ years of work experience in total, with 3+ years of experience in an asset management, investment holding, project finance, private equity, or consulting role. Through this experience, you have honed your strategic approach to problem solving, meaning you are able to efficiently and effectively achieve core business objectives.

Having engaged with stakeholders at all levels, your interpersonal and communication skills are excellent and your multitasking capabilities tremendous.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or other relevant finance related field
Experience Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in an asset management, investment holding, project finance, private equity or consulting environment
  • 7+ years of work experience in finance
  • Experience steering business objectives and developing an independent business model highly advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Investment Management: Actively monitor and oversee the performance of investee companies. Represent our client as a director or alternate director on boards, trusts, and sub-committees of investee companies. Identify opportunities for capital structure optimization and improved management of investments
  • Corporate Management: Develop and implement corporate governance structures to drive operational efficiency. Coordinate our clients business activities to achieve key strategic objectives and sustainable growth
  • Valuation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain valuation models for investments. Collaborate with stakeholders to manage corporate financial, debt funding, and budget models. Provide accurate and timely reporting on investment performance and company financials
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong working relationships with management teams, shareholders, lenders, and operators to enhance collaboration and operational success
