Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring / recon CIB capital numbers (regulatory capital, RegCap and economic capital, Ecap) monthly to ensure accuracy & ensuring feedback loops where anomalies are found.
- Creating, maintaining and refinement of monthly dashboards (Excel and Power BI) to track trends in capital numbers, ensuring data quality, analysing reasoning for movements in capital etc.
- Assisting with the risk-based budgeting process for capital, inclusive of reviewing and refinement of the process to ensure that appropriate parameters are being used and adequate governance is in place
- Identifying and tracking of RWA optimization initiatives and capital allocation within CIB
- Consolidate, analyse, interpret and provide high quality intelligence and analysis
- Support stakeholders with data, insights and ad hoc analysis of capital data (methodology changes, structure changes, unpacking anomalies, financial, risk and pipeline metrics etc.)
- Analysing client data to assist bankers with enhanced portfolio/sector management
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
- Identifying gaps in data processes and engaging with data owners to resolve
- Automate BAU processes / investigate advanced analytics techniques to enhance team output
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Building trusting relationships with stakeholders, including Exco and Manco level, to gain credibility and maintain reputation through consistent delivery of quality output
- Ensure the timeous completion and delivery of various reports by setting realistic expectations given the constraints at hand
- Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management
- Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within the specified timeframe
Professional Qualifications/Honours Degree
Preferred Qualification
Bcom (Corporate Finance/ Economic) or Bachelor of Business Science: Finance
Minimum Experience Level
1-3 years' experience in an analytical role within the financial industry
