To be the Interface with the broader business to manage the NPD lifecycle which entails the planning, analysis, design, implementation, support and discontinuation of new and existing products within the AB Inbev portfolio for Africa Zone.

The key purpose of this role to ensure all Planning and Non-ZITEC project are delivered on time, in budget and first time right. To perform project management functions to comply with the Smartgate process and ensure good project management governance is maintained at all times. To ensure the projects deliver solutions that are holistic and market-facing, balancing the trade offs across Logistics, Supply and Commercial. To control and manage all master data related to projects, both the creation and subsequent closing of project specific master data. To manage project scope, risks, milestones and budget in a timely and optimal manner and manage the relationship between project sponsor and stakeholders.

Key Roles And Responsibilities
  • Setting up and managing of the project team with correct stakeholders and coordinating the team to deliver the project on time
  • The creation and management of the project budget (OPEX, Cash Flow, Updated Business Case) from start to commercialization and requires meticulous planning to ensure eventualities that do occur are solved
  • within the budget parameters
  • Updating and tracking various project plans and status on a weekly and monthly basis with feedback into the necessary Product, Demand and Exec S&OP Monthly Review cycles.
  • The creating an communication of project roadshows (communication documents) that informs multi-functional support functions (supply, materials ordering, master data management) what is expected of them
  • and when. Coupled with this goes the day-to-day management of the project production and distribution in the run-up to project launch
  • Manage the continuous risk analysis, mitigation and create optimal balance between multiple disciplines in the business. A strong process of scenario planning is undertaken to highlight risks and mitigate them
  • before the problems occur
  • Own and manage the Logistics, Supply & MRP teams on the optimal run down of any stocks pre- or post a project launch. The involves the weekly analysis and planning of all stocks on hand, unique materials on
  • hand, supplier commitments, launch dates and sales demand to agree and implement a run-out or run-in plan
  • Control and manage the project scope and ensure that the project does not become to unmanaged scope creep.
  • Supporting Commercial through the various activity stages that has to be signed off at the IOC and ZMTC committees as part of the SMARTGATE innovation process.
  • Analyse and manage the Logistics Portfolio and ensure discontinuations are carried out effectively: including finished goods, materials run-out and masterdata management.
Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineer, Commercial or Logistics
  • 3 Years Project Management Experience
  • 3+ Years FMCG Experience
  • Project Management Professional Accreditation advantageous
  • Knowledge of brewing, packaging & distribution management systems and processes
  • Ideal candidate would have experience in business analytics or supply chain logistics planning
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent self-management practices with a pro-active, energetic and committed approach
  • Excellent analytical understanding and strong excel capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple streams of information optimally with attention to detail
  • Capital Investment evaluation skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and database querying
  • Excellent presentation, report drafting, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be capable of communicating effectively cross functionally with middle and senior management

  • Based in the Zone Planning team (ZHQ Johannesburg)
  • Reporting to the Demand & NPD Planning Manager (solid line)
  • Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Planning
  • Occasional travel to within the zone may be required
