Cango Wildlife Ranch has a vacancy for an animal handler.
Job responsibilities:
- Accommodate visitors partaking in our Natural Encounter program and provide a once in a lifetime experience
- Educating visitors on our work in conservation
- Cleaning and maintenance of animal exhibits
- Preperation and documentation of animal diets
- Training of Animals for Ambassadorial and Husbandry purposes
- Ensuring safe practice at all times as per Safety Protocols put in place
- Photography
Job requirements:
- If you have a passion for animals and conservation, as well as a great way with people then we need you to apply
- Must be willing to work under strict conditions
- Passion for animals, conservation and customer care
- Knowledge and understanding of animal training would be an advantage
- Previous experience in hand raising of animals would be an advantage
- Valid driver’s licence with own or reliable transport
- Must be able to work weekends and public holidays
- Accurate, Strong communication skills, organised and have a friendly manner
- Work under pressure and deadline driven
- Ability to spot risks & resolve problems efficiently
- Fully Bilingual / Fluent (English/Afrikaans)
- Available full time
- Self management capabilities
