Howden Power, a Division of Howden Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor-Rigging, to coordinate site rigging activities, equipment, and personnel in accordance with the planned scope of work, client requirements and safe work procedures. The associate will perform rigging surveys, compile method statements, Risk Assessments and rigging studies, manage rigging sub-contractors as and when required to enhance the safety and effectivity of rigging activities.
What needs to be done?
- Establishes client requirements in conjunction with the Site Manager in order to determine scope of work.
- Forecasts resource requirements (labour, equipment, consumable and transport) from plans to ensure the availability of the resource in accordance with the planned scope of work.
- Controls and monitor the execution of all site activities to ensure adherence to plan, client requirements and within budget constraints.
- Conducts regular inspections relevant to area of responsibility to ensure that work is progressing according.
- Monitor the progress of subcontractors to ensure that work undertaken is in accordance with the plan and meets the accepted quality standards.
- Provides relevant information and instructions to site personnel to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and client requirements.
- Plan and provides assistance in respect of any problems which may have occurred.
- Qualified Rigger
- Extensive Experience in Rigging and Slinging drafting of Complex Rigging Studies in Line with Procedures
- 5 years experience of managing Riggers on sites and the activities.
- Computer Literacy
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Quality and Safety Training (Formal Training).
