Junior Antenna Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Antenna Engineer. The person must have the ability to Develop, define and maintain military standard antenna- and antenna sub-system products.

The role will be reporting to the TDA: Antenna Sub-Systems

Your role

• Design wideband antennas
• Take products through whole product development process
• EM simulations
• Engineering calculations in software
• Produce prototypes
• Antenna testing and data analyses
• Research material and technique advances
• Document design requirements and verification
• Production support
• Product baseline maintenance
• Supplier interaction
• Product industrialization support
• Product qualification

Your profile

Knowledge Required:

• Different wideband antenna types
• Different antenna measurement techniques
• Antenna parameters

Desired:

• Passive RF components like baluns, couplers and filters
• RF System engineering
• Direction finding concepts
• EW concepts

Required Skills

Technical required:

• None apart from what is taught at university

Desired:

• FEKO EM-simulation
• Matlab
• Antenna measurement
• Antenna prototype production including fine soldering
• RF assembly
• CST EM-simulation
• Instrument control

Non-Technical desired:

• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Teamwork and collaboration.
• Professionalism and strong work ethic.
• Oral and written communications skills.
• Report writing

Practical experience:

• None (may be fresh out of university)

Desired:

• 1+ years experience in antenna and/or RF design environment
• Defence environment

Qualification:

• Started with Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, specializing in Antennas
