This role requires an individual with a technical background and strong sales experience of mechanical parts / equipment to the Mining industry.
- Establishes new and service existing accounts through planning and organising sales call schedule
- Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and existing customers to understand service requirements
- Provide product, service or equipment technical and engineering information
- Prepare cost estimates by studying all related customer documents, consulting with site engineers and draughting department
- Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, suppliers or service applications in customer environment and propose changes in equipment or use of product
- Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reduction / operational improvements
- Explaining and negotiating contract terms with customers
- Prepare detailed and accurate sales documents and submit orders by conferring with technical support staff
- Conducting market and competitor research
- Providing technical assistance to customers as and when required
- Manage and grow sales territory
Qualification / Skills / Knowledge Required- Tertiary qualification (within mechanical related field)
