Reporting Manager: Area Sales Manager (Africa Region)

Role Headline
Plans and executes sales targets and activities for their assigned countries in the Southern African region in order to grow customer base in line with the sales strategy for the Digital Industries portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Plans sales volumes and potentials of all allocated customers in their assigned Southern Africa Region
- Provides information via CRM (Salesforce) for forecasts and planning.
- Analyses the specific market conditions and builds a sound market related network of stakeholders.
- Identifies opportunities for product and service portfolio solutions.
- Manage and grow the customer network in order to meet strategic objectives and targets.
- Coordinates the realisation of opportunities, facilitates and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects, or services programs at customers.
- Completes sales and revenue related key reporting.
- Contributes to the development of After-Market business in the region.
- May act as a point of contact to customers in commercial matters and influences collaboration within the organisation to secure customer support.
- Support, Development and Growth of Partner network within responsible region.
- Maintaining end-user relationships.
- Completed Diploma, N6 or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years technical sales experience
- Experience in mining related vertical will be advantageous.
- Prior experience in the Southern African sales market will be advantageous.
- Must have a good understanding of Drive Technology and Automation (VSD's, PLC Automation, Instrumentation, Switchgear and Integrated Solutions).
- Knowledge of SIMATIC, SINAMICS products will be advantageous.
- Experience in Salesforce CRM will be advantageous.
- Must have excellent Communication Skills and be able to build on current customer base.
- Must be disciplined and self-motivated.
- Must be willing to travel extensively into Southern Africa

- Excellent communicator with strong customer service skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Can work independently.
- Can work under pressure.
- Demonstrates cross selling ability.
- Valid Drivers License
