Assembly Process Engineer

Roles And Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer performance areas include, but are not limited to:

• Provide management with the information with which they can effectively manage the companys resources.
• Improve productivity and scrap rates within the areas of delegated responsibility.
• Manage the continued planning and implementation of process optimisation.
• Ensure continued compliance to the companys business requirements, customer specific requirements such as quality, health and safety, environmental and prevailing legislative requirements.
• Control plans and provide necessary technical input and problem-solving using 8D process for potential and actual process failures.
• Manage process engineering projects and resolve engineering problems with internal departments and OEMs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Electrical/Mechatronic/Technical Diploma/Degree with 3+ years experience - essential.
• Electrical/Mechatronic Trade Tested - preferred.
• Computer Literacy MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
• High speed assembly process and equipment knowledge and experience.
• PLC and Yaskawa Robot programming experience.
• Ultrasonic, Hotplate and Vibration Welding experience.
• Working knowledge of electro pneumatics equipment design.
• FMEA and Control Plan knowledge and experience.
• Open to SA citizens with a clear criminal and credit history.
• Valid unendorsed Drivers License is essential, with own vehicle (preferred).

E.E. / Non-EE: EE only.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Must be prepared to work shifts.

Remuneration: Market related basic, includes medical aid, provident fund and guaranteed 13th cheque.
