Assistant Accountant

Role Purpose

Assisting the accounts team with administrative and operational duties.

Requirements
  • B comm Accounting/ Finance tertiary qualification
  • Matric Certificate
  • Working knowledge of all MS Office
  • At least 2-3 year experience in previous accounting and insurance environment
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Processing of operational expenses
  • Invoicing
  • Broker commission administration
  • Debtor administration
  • Assisting with the claims finance function
  • Maintaining the claims finance vendor database
  • Timeous allocating and receipting of debtors
  • Vendor creation and maintenance
  • Managing of unallocated cash function
  • General office and record storage
  • Policy administration on underwriting system
  • Ensure that any policies captured meet the re-insurance mandates
  • Other ad hoc duties
