We're looking for a talented Assistant Accountant to join our team and take charge of our day-to-day statutory finance functions. If you're passionate about finance and ready to take the next step in your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Process day-to-day accounting transactions using SAP
- Manage purchase orders for Admin functions
- Assist in maintaining the statutory fixed assets register
- Prepare supplier and customer master data changes
- Handle intercompany invoices and credit notes
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor and implement financial procedures and internal controls
- Prepare daily cashflow forecasts and monthly overheads reports
- Assist business units with cost analysis
- Support in budget preparation and audit pack creation
- Liaise with auditors and submit payroll inputs and tax submissions
- Experience with SAP is essential
- Strong financial accounting knowledge and understanding of taxation and VAT
- Highly accurate with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- B.Comm (Accounting) Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
