UK Based Accountancy firm seeks a Assistant Accountant & Bookkeeper
Duties and responsibilities:
Working on Xero Accounting software across multiple organisations
Reconciliation of client bank accounts
Bookkeeping on accounting software and hardcopies
Weekly and monthly payroll
VAT preparations and submissions
Regular communications with clients to ensure that all missing information is supplied
Small ad-hoc requests which may come up from time to time
Diary management for the team and answering client questions (mainly by email)
Requirements:
Minimum qualification - bookkeeping/ accounting diploma, or equivalent
Good communication skills in spoken English and by email
Experience in working on a cloud-based accounting systems as a primary part of your work
Stable internet connection and backup power (during load shedding)
Must be computer literate and proficient in online computer applications.
Deadline driven and detail orientated.
Cloud-based accounting system, Xero qualified
produce accounts, VAT returns, year-end Journals and have significant experience doing these things.
