Our client is seeing an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to join the Grahamstown team,
- Lead and motivate a team of catering staff,
- Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.
- Plan and coordinate catering services for a variety of events,
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
- Create and update diverse menus that cater to different tastes, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences.
- Work closely with chefs to ensure the highest quality of food and presentation.
- Develop and manage catering budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Monitor expenses, negotiate supplier contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the consistency and excellence of catering services.
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements- Grade 12
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred,
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Valid drivers license
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours,
