A Durban based logistics company seeks to employ a highly motivated assistant fleet controller to assist in the management of their current fleet of Tri-axle Combinations.
Job responsibilities:
- Key – Assist the Fleet Controller in the Planning and Management of the day to day operations of the Fleet and Sub Contractors
- To ensure maximum loading efficiencies, is derived from our existing customer database
- Assist in the issuing of Driver Instructions
- Track and communicate vehicle positioning to the Director, Fleet Controller and Customer
- Monitoring and Reporting of Diesel Consumption, Speed, Equipment, Vehicle Condition, and Vehicle Maintenance
- Collection of POD’s
- Required to work alternative weekends
Job requirements:
- Matric/ Grade 12.
- Minimum of 3 years' previous experience in a transport management environment.
- Knowledge of Vessel Berthing Procedures, Terminals and Depots
- Computer literate – especially with Microsoft Office - Advanced user skills in Excel advantageous.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent planning execution and follow up skills
- Attention to Detail
- Able to work under pressure and work well with people
- Good communication skills and ability to think outside the box.
