Job Overview
The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in guest rooms and public areas. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manager and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
- Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping team members.
- Monitor housekeeping stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff to maintain service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring quick resolution.
- Work closely with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain housekeeping records, including daily reports and staff attendance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Grade 12
- Preferably 1 - 2 years supervisory experience
- Atleast 3 - 5 years experience in hospitality, preferably housekeeping
