Assistant payroll administrator required

Job vacancy for an assistant payroll administrator in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape.

Job responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets, track and deduct all payroll deductions.
  • Establish and maintain employee records, ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for the coordination between payroll and HR, to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
  • Generating reports for payment e.g. PAYE , UIF, SDL , Provident Fund and Unions.
  • Prepare month end journals and reporting eg expenses claims, overtime, leave balances, head count and month end reports.
  • Manage IR matters, documentation and hearings.
  • Schedule hearing, grievances meetings.
  • Facilitate weekly/ monthly H.R reports/ stats.
  • Communicate payroll changes to the HR Manager on time.
  • Answering staff queries.

Job requirements:

  • At least 2 years working in Payroll.
  • Matric and NQF Level 5, or a relevant diploma.
  • Experience in contract cleaning sector.
  • Experience in HR/IR.
