A leading furniture retailer is seeking an Assistant Regional Controller
Regional controller
We are seeking suitable qualified Assistant Regional Controller that is going to be responsible for our Karoo Region , this includes Aliwal North,Sterkspruit,Burgersdorp and Steynsburg.
Ideal candidates would have solid experience running a region and would have had exposure to managing profit and growth targets within the retail environment. The role is responsible to communicate and drive daily operations of all branches under his/her control and ensure its alignment to company goals. The role would drive all people related issues, customer service, sales, stock and credit management within the region.
Role of the regional controller
To establish realistic targets for each branch under his/her control in conjunction with branch managers in the beginning of the financial year
To monitor achievements of branches daily and takes positive action on pending and future pending as well as deals authorized not yet invoiced
To arrange for and implements sales drives in liaison with the divisional manager and ensure that maximum results are achieved throughout all branches in the region and that costs incurred are within budgets
To create and maintains a positive attitude amongst all branches in order to strive for maximum results.
To ensure sales advisors are properly trained through the training systems provided by the training department, but also via in-store training sessions on product knowledge by the branch manager.
To set up a model shop with every new sales drive and gather all the managers to view and discuss the drive in all aspects-events-time schedules merchandise etc.
Minimum requirements
A valid driver’s license
A Matric/Grade 12 education qualification.
Business-related tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years retail management experience preferably in the furniture retail. Trainee branch manager a minimum of 3 years retail management experience.
Computer literate
Strong leadership abilities
Management abilities- Manage, lead, motivate, develop and empower branch staff.
We require a tough-minded individual who is target driven, thrives on driving performance and is able to juggle customer service with working in a high-pressure sales environment.
