The job is based in our offices in Cape Town, South Africa. The formal title on your email signature and pay-slip will be Associate Director Product Solutions. This is a senior level position at an Associate Director level in our company. You will report to the Director Product Solutions (Private Equity Solutions) and your role will be to:
- Develop Private Equity Product Solutions within Catalyst
- Co-Lead and/or assist with developing/customizing technology to produce a product solution that is robust, scalable, and fit for business purposes.
- New client or fund onboarding to the applicable systems. This includes:
- Fund, portfolio, and object set up.
- NAV, Balance Sheet, and Transfer Agency take-ons at a point in time.
- Catch up, parallel period and initial NAV/s reconciliation and transition to the Operations Team once onboarding is completed,
- Co-Lead and/or assist in process documentation and developing training materials.
- Develop and contribute to the development of:
- Template and report development.
- Portal development and support.
- Vendor management of applicable NAV, RTA and Portal vendors.
- Training and support of the operations teams.
- Support the Director Product Solutions (Private Equity Solutions) as needed.
- Share insights to enable development of new processes and procedures that will create business efficiency and support delivery of client excellence in service.
- Contribute to the creation, development and implementation of new products and solutions to accommodate changing customer needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations staff, business users, project, and implementation managers to achieve desired and elegant solutions.

- Contribute to the creation, development, and implementation and marketing of new products and solutions which would add value to customers and generate additional revenue streams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations staff, business users, project and implementation managers to achieve desired and elegant solutions.
Skills & Experience
The role requires the following skills & experience;
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting (Internationally recognized accounting
- Minimum of 5 years fund accounting, with 2 4 years experience in private equity.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with fund accounting software preferred e.g., Investran, Dynamo or Geneva
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the investment fund industry.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PE fund accounting, investor services and reporting principals.
- Fluent in English (writing & speaking).
