Merchandise Planner - Equipment - Outdoor

An opportunity has become available at our Head Office (Cape Town) within Cape Union Mart for a Planner within the Equipment division for Outdoor.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Achieve turnover, gross profit budgets, stock turns and other related KPIs
  • Prepare and the presentation of post seasonal analysis, strategic planning, range & assortment planning
  • Setting up and maintaining replenishment modules
  • Store grading and clustering
  • Accurately and continuously budgeting and forecasting in order to achieve sales plan and maximize profitability
  • Accurately and continuously forecasting inflows to achieve sales plans, departmental growth, and profitability
  • Executing and managing project plans to achieve the agreed objectives
  • Supporting and guiding team members with regards to efficient administration as well as the accurate allocation of stock to ensure that the right stock gets to the right store by the right time
  • Liaising with stores, suppliers, customers shipping and marketing
  • Dead / clearance stock management
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Retail/Merchandise/Product Planner within a retail/FMCG environment is required
  • 1 2 years of replenishment planning or the requisite replenishment experience
  • Experienced in setting up replenishment model stocks
  • Experienced in store grading / clustering
  • Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification is an important pre-requisite
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced excel experience is essential
  • Working knowledge and experience with Merchandise planning and reporting systems is require
