Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Process Engineer to join their team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, improving efficiency and productivity, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conducting and overseeing process analysis, evaluating performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement in the mining operations.
- Developing and implementing process optimization strategies to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve process-related issues, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
- Designing and modifying processes, equipment, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitoring and analyzing process data to identify trends, optimize process parameters, and identify potential improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Providing technical support and expertise to operational teams to resolve process-related issues and improve overall performance.
- Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost evaluations to support decision-making processes.
- Developing and implementing process control systems to optimize and monitor operational performance.
- Training and mentoring junior engineers and technicians in process engineering principles, as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate degree will be an advantage.
- 5 years of experience with 2 years experience in middle management
- Sound knowledge of mining processes, operations, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to mine sites and work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on achieving operational goals and objectives.
- Salary: R400K-R600K per year
