The Opportunity
We are now looking for a full-time Building Supervisor based in Lae, PNG.
Reporting to senior management, this role is responsible for working with and leading a workforce of tradesmen through construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and client satisfaction.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Building and developing the construction team to ensure optimal performance
• Leading projects through requirements definition, scheduling, and risk mitigation
• Coordinating internal and external resources to adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget
• Managing scope during the project lifecycle and assessing risks to maintain quality standards
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates
• Structuring and managing performance databases across multiple project types
• Developing and maintaining partnerships with third-party vendors and researchers
• Assigning and monitoring resources to maximise efficiency and deliverables
• Reporting project outcomes, risks, and necessary escalations to management channels
• Assisting with scoping and quoting upcoming projects
• Acting as Atlas Steel Limiteds representative in construction to identify growth opportunities

What you'll bring
To qualify, you will need five or more years of experience in a supervisory role and experience from a broad construction background. A proven ability to meet deadlines and adhere to budgetary guidelines will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Experience developing a strong team environment
• Familiarity with working in remote areas
• Coaching and mentoring project team members to strengthen their skills
