We are looking for a team player with a background and experience in installing DStv and audio-visual systems.
Job requirements:
- Matric
- DStv accredited installer
- Relevant electrical qualification
- The applicant needs to be familiar with various types of cables and willing be willing to play a key role of installing them
- Salary range: dependent on qualifications and experience
- Experience: 3 years or more in all of the below areas
- Background in audio-visual installations.
- Installation of DStv including XtraView (3-way)
- Knowledge of RF distribution (HD advantageous)
- Installation and mounting of TVs
- Installation of surround sound systems
- Excellent knowledge and experience working with various types of low voltage and data cables as well as high voltage and electrical cables
- Ability to read construction plans
- Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Clear criminal record
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in customer service and expectation management
- Attention to detail
- Extremely organized and ability to think on your feet
- Customer focused, work well under pressure
- Willing and able to work overtime, at weekends, etc. as required
- High in energy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Advantageous:
- Knowledge and experience working with DB boards and lighting systems.
- Knowledge and experience working with networking equipment (routers and access points)
- Knowledge and experience installing Paradox alarm systems.
- Knowledge and experience working with access control systems.
- Knowledge and experience working with automation control systems
- Valid RSA Driver’s license essential beneficial
Job responsibilities:
- Effective execution of onsite installations and activities.
- Including pulling of cables.
- Effective execution and resolution of ad-hoc client callout requirements.
- Daily reporting on project and callout work and the execution thereof.
- Ensure that all company installation related processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure that all work performed onsite and installed is signed off and meets the company’s high standards.
- Maintain open communication between yourself and the various company departments.
- Maintain record of all project activities and communicate any issues through internal channels
