Audit Manager

Minimum Requirements

Matric/Grade 12
BCom Accounting Degree
CTA, ITC, APC essential
Must have completed SAICA articles.
Must be a registered member of SAICA as a CA(SA)
2-3 years post articles experience in audit.
Must have excellent computer skills including outlook, excel, and word and CaseWare.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and IFRS
A strong knowledge of the ISAs
Excellent communication etiquette with clients
Detail oriented and organised
Must take initiative and be self-driven
Be able to take accountability and meet deadlines
Be a team player and help other team members in achieving their deadlines
Ability to plan and work under pressure
Must be well-presented and well-spoken
Drivers license and car
Must be available to start January 2024.

The incumbents responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Manage and supervise the audit engagements both from a client and staff perspective.
Plan for upcoming engagements and continuously adapt plans to take into account any unforeseen changes.
Review work performed by the audit team to ensure that the required audit quality has been met.
Deliver high-quality client service including maintaining open communication channels both with the client and the audit partner.
Identifying and assisting the audit team in solving any queries raised on the audit and be a closer.
Coaching and empowering the team
Focus on building trusted relationships
Managing work in progress and ensuring timely completion
Responsible for Staff Assessments (SAICA Assessment Process)
