External Audit Managers - Short term opportunities

We are actively seeking Audit Managers on a short-term assignment that meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years or more relevant public accounting experience (external audit experience)
• Fully qualified - CA (SA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or international CPA equivalent
• Big 4 firm experience
• Preferred experience or extensive knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS), the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards
• Emphasizing some understanding - for the respective industry - of business and accounting issues, and the technical accounting and financial reporting standards
• Not out of audit for longer than 2 years
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Pro-active and committed to delivery
• Excellent time-management skills
• Location: South Africa (remote)
• Available for assignment from mid-December 2023 until April 2024 (client dependent)

As a manager you may be responsible for the following:

• Providing timely, high-quality client service, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating all client deliverables.
• Understanding skill sets andcapabilities of team members, monitoring and reviewing workproducedto ensure quality and skill development.
• Managing larger, more complexengagementteams, ensuringclient satisfaction andteam morale.
• Proactively and confidently communicates with all levels at the firm and client.
• Supervising of the engagement team, tasks and budget.
• Project management of audits from planning to completion, including review and sign-off on key audit sections.
• Conducting audits in terms of International Standards of Auditing.

Additional information:

• Our client's peak season is January through April and during this time team members should be prepared to work extended hours, historically on average 55 hours per week.
• 4 6 hours overlap in working hours with the client firm may be required.
• Should you be successful in your application, you areexpected to have access to the internet / connectionrequiredto perform the function, and to ensure that the internet connection is uninterrupted and always accessible. This should be, at minimum, a fibre connection with a proven bandwidth of 20mbps upload and 10Mbps download speed, with alatencyof no more than 30ms. This connection should be sustainablein the event ofpower interruptions.The Company will contribute to an internet allowance monthly while on active assignment. The contract validity is dependent on theabove-mentionedcriteria.
• Audit experience and alignment to a specific level within SAPRO, shall be determined based on your individual audit exposure, technical interview and evaluation.
