An opportunity has arisen for the right individual to join the Sage Finance Team as a Finance Innovation Automation Analyst. Reporting to the Finance Digitisation Lead, this is a unique opportunity to deliver significant value to Sage by supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of new process capabilities within the Finance Function which will result in step change improvements in customer, colleague and supplier experience and/or the release of financial benefit through working capital or efficiency improvements.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Identify Automation Opportunities: Collaborate with finance and business teams to identify areas of financial processes that can be automated for improved efficiency and accuracy.
- Process Documentation: Document existing and proposed finance processes, including workflows, controls, and system configurations, to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Solution Design: Analyse existing finance processes and develop innovative automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce manual interventions, and enhance data integrity.
- Automation Implementation: Lead the implementation of automation projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of automated processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement through iterative updates and refinements.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new automated processes, systems, and tools, ensuring smooth transition and effective utilization.
- Governance: Ensure automation initiatives comply with Finance Automation standards and requirements.
- Service Desk: provide support and troubleshoot issues related to finance systems (Primarily Sage 200 & Sage 300). Act as a point of contact for end-users, assisting them with inquiries, resolving technical problems, and escalating complex issues as needed.

- Relevant experience developing applications/solutions for a global finance team.
- Proficiency in automation tools and technologies using one or more of the following methodologies Robotics Process Automation, Workflow Automation, Application Development.
- Demonstrable experience in utilising strong business and technology skills to solve data-centric business problems.
- Good understanding of database concepts and experience working with relational database technologies like SQL and MS Dataverse.
- Strong problem-solving skills, debugging and analytical skills.
- Strong business acumen, and demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project and Program management experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or other equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience (2+ years) of working with varied and complex data sets, building ETL (extract transform load) processes using scripting language (such as SQL, Python) and use of tools incl. Alteryx.
- Experience working with Sage 200 & Sage 300
- Previous experience with Low Code technologies (such as MSFT Power Platform, Alteryx) or software config tools like SharePoint, Dataverse or similar.
- Experience using the above-mentioned tools for developing custom applications.
- Successful deployment of automated (RPA, Workflow Automation, UI Application) solutions.
- Maintaining/Complying to internal governance surrounding finance automation.
- Maintaining service desk service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver an exceptional experience for Sage colleagues.
- Seamless interlock into a high performing team and living the Sage values.
