Specialist Automation Engineer

Role Purpose

To deliver impeccable products and services with agility, driven through test analysis and automation.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Work with development, project management, test analysts and automation testers to create and automate well-documented test cases adhering to the automation framework standards.

Derive requirements from business and technical specifications, and subsequently capture in ALM Octane Requirements module.

Drive and implement DevSecOps through security testing tools like Kiuwan with continuous integration to software development tools/repositories.

Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of existing test tools with full administration processes.

Drive the shift left USSD automation together with synthetic and dynamic monitoring using Perfecto Mobile and APM AppDynamics respectively. Optimise the test infrastructure and processes starting with QA, Pre-production and post-production testing

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

BSc in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with 5 plus years in testing

Postgraduate qualification (Honours/B-Tech) or testing qualification will be an added advantage.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, And Experience

Attention to detail, solid people skills, assertive disposition and customer obsession

Communication, Presentation, And Critical Thinking Skills Are Required

Knowledge of the following test tools will be an added advantage: ALM Octane, UFT, Gherkin Scripting, Cucumber Automated Reporting, C++/Java scripting, SIGOS, Perfecto Mobile, AppDynamics, including services like USSD and associated billing platforms like CCS through service bus like Fusion, CUR.

Understanding of core network elements like HSS/HLR, CSDB, SGW, PGW, SPR, PCRF, and associated protocols like radius, diameter, HTTP, SOAP, etc.
